Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Why do you do this website?

In the spring of 2018, I read a book called The Power of Everyday Missionaries and I felt the desire to share my beliefs.  Like Lehi’s Vision in 1 Nephi chapter 8 in the Book of Mormon, “And as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy; wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was desirable above all other fruit.”  Or in other words. As I feel the love of God (the fruit) in my life, I have the desire to share it with those around me.

A website is a perfect medium to share the gospel of Jesus Christ’s Restored Gospel.  I know how to do a website and I already pay for a web hosting plan that allows me to create subdomains to my hearts content.  So I here I am… I get up early (nearly) every Sunday and try to write a post.  Sometimes I feel inspired about what to write and other times I struggle.  The hardest part of writing is writing.  My wife tells me that I’m an above-average writer (chalk one up for supportive spouses), but I still struggle.  I do like to write and it’s especially nice when the Spirit is helping me.

A while back I heard someone talking about creating videos to share the gospel and I felt the need to add that aspect to my website.  Film was my degree back in college, so it would be natural extension to what I’m already attempting with this website.  We’ll just have to see when I can find time to start adding those to the site.  Video production takes a lot of work.

Do you get many questions?

No. That last one is the only one I’ve gotten aside from the spam comments that don’t have anything to do with my site.  I just felt like I should create a FAQ, so I can fill it if ever come they come.

Disclaimers:

I do not represent the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I am a member of the Church and have a testimony of its teachings, but do not look to me as the one you’d want to quote when presenting your book report about the Church.

I try to use my own images that I’ve taken, but that’s not always possible, so I’m using images provided by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that are free for such use.  I’ve also used screenshots from a broadcast or video I’m referencing in my post.  I’m trying to stay away from stealing others’ images without permission as I’ve felt the frustration of people stealing my images.  I try to remember to always give proper credit at the end of the post.
